When you place an order on any Chance Chapters experience, we collect:
If you upload a photo for the AI Image tier of any experience, it is sent securely to the AI image-generation providers we use for the sole purpose of creating your personalised illustration. On our own systems, your photo is held only temporarily — for the minimum time necessary to process your order — and is deleted from our systems once your chapter has been generated. Because generating your image relies on third-party AI providers, we cannot make guarantees about their own internal data handling beyond our instruction that the photo is used solely to fulfil your order; those providers process data under their own applicable terms. Your photo is not used for any purpose other than generating your story image, and is not shared with any party beyond what's required to produce your illustration. By uploading a photo, you confirm it is a photo of yourself (or, for any other person appearing in it, that you have their permission) and that everyone in the photo is 18 or older.
We use a small number of trusted third-party providers to deliver the service. Each only receives the minimum information needed to perform its specific function:

All payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card details. If you use a promotional code, Stripe validates and applies it directly — we do not have a separate system for approving codes.
Your generated chapter and (if applicable) audio file remain accessible via your unique link indefinitely, so you can return to it later. Your name, email, and order details are retained for as long as needed to provide support, maintain accounting records, and meet legal obligations. Uploaded photos are held only temporarily on our own systems during processing — see "Photos" above.
